WordPress Plug-In for Photo Slide Show
I recently search out and found a great little slideshow generator that was fairly easy to use, and install and had some great features . The WordPress Plug-In was called "1 Flash Gallery" I used to to create a photo blog with some pictures I'd taken in Cumming GA Called "Cumming GA Photos Slide Show – Cumming Georgia Photographs!" What I like most was that the gallery slideshow was easy to install, it was free, I could customize the display, the size of the display, and the fact that music can be added to it also! Let me know what your thoughts are of if you have any other WordPress slideshow that you use and what are its features.

Jim, sounds like an easy application. Very nice photographs too. Good information for Wordpress users.
Kay Van Kampen–Springfield, Ozark, Nixa Greene County Missouri Real Estate Agent (RE/MAX Broker, RE/MAX Solutions) Thanks Kay! I host over 70 websites, and blogs, and I am constantly looking for new ideas that are free, and work well. This is one of them.
Free's the word. Having a slider show helping show the area out of the corner of the buyer's eyes while reading about a property listing is double teaming, secondary gain and pretty smart Jim Crawford Atlanta Real Estate Broker

Hi Jim, that looks like a nice free application. For my craigslist ads, I've ended up using two free programs to create an animated gif - which is a nice differentiator as most ads are static-photos.
Happy Holidays!

Alexander-Slocum REMAX Team - Vancouver WA Real Estate (RE/MAX equity group - Vancouver Washington) That is neat! I've tried that before, but I wanted to keep load times and file sizes down. What programs do you use? I used an older version of Photo Impact 12.
Hi Jim, I use FastStone Image Viewer (free for home users--FastStone.org, and does batch edits, format conversions, etc. -- and it is VERY FAST), then I use the UnFREEz.exe program (also freeware -- Whitsoftdev.com) to create the ani-gif. File size can be an issue but, it seems that broadband Internet subscriptions keep growing so user download times shouldn't be too bad.
Here's one example of the smaller size I use: http://www.clarkcountyexpert.com/ptbcl/nh/LakeridgeForSaleani02.gif.
This small ani-gif can sit by itself or, on top of a background photo, creating a picture-in-a-picture effect. I've even been bold enough on occassion to animate the background as well to make a slideshow in a slideshow (that larger background slideshow gif is usually over 1mb in size!).
Enjoy!
I recently started using slidedeck http://www.slidedeck.com/wordpress/ and have been happy with the product. It allows you to slide text and other items in addition to pictures.
Jim, what do you do with 70 websites?

Alexander, thanks for sharing. I also used to use animated gifs however Google has changed its algorithms and speed and load times are major factors. Animated gifs tend to be fairly big, and delay a page load by size alone. The most you can compress an animated gif likes yours is to optimize it with some sort of image optimizer like http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/imageoptimizer/index.php, but the most you can shave off the load time is about 21 %. Also none of the major search engines index animated gifs... so that hurts your SEO.
Below is alos a good calculator for files sizes. and it converts file size to load times:

Pike Porter (Castle Porter Real Estate) Thanks..I looked at this before but have not used. I will revisit it again. 70 Sites? I make a OK living in real estate based on referrals only.
Hi Jim, certainly true about the size and indexing issues with ani-gifs. Thanks for the optimizer tool. For us, we generally just use these in Craigs-list ads, as they still seem to be allowed by that website, while any other slide-show program runnig Flash or Scripts will be flushed out.

****A note to all..I recently removed this plug in, and I noticed so did WordPress.***
