In all the years that we've been selling homes, the most common question that we are asked is "How long will it take to sell our home?" It depends on many factors. Price, condition, location, appearance, marketing, current market conditions, competing home inventory in your immediate price range, and lastly whom you choose to represent you. Why? Because skill levels or lack of experience of your agent hurt you! If you make the wrong choice when selling your home, you may be on the market for a really long time. Why? Because ultimately it is who you choose to market your home,and how effective /ineffective they are that will bring in the buyers and agents with their buyers. If theydid not supply you with he right market information, strategies for price, and a realistic marketing plan you may sit for a while. In fact you may sit for years...since you are the only person that can hire or fire the agents that represent you. So don't make a costly mistake, before you list your home interview many agents. What strategies do they have in mind to get the highest possible price in the current market? What price would they choose? Do they have a plan to sell your home? Have they sold other homes? How many? When did they sell them? Do they have testimonials of other satisfied past clients and their phone numbers that you can contact them to verify their information?
