Once in a while we get a dusting of snow in Atlanta but it is really a rare event. Back in 1993 on March 16th we had 23 inches, and it paralized the city for a short while, but it melted in just a few days! This snow storm was really just a dustingof a few slushy inches. However that did not stop them from closing all the schools on Thursday in anticipation of the event. The only problem was that it did not start snowing today until release time about 2-2:30 PM in the Alpharetta area. I don't know why, but supermarketswere pack with persons stacking up on breads andmilk even though the weather reports were only calling for a few inches of snow! It seems as though, children in every neighborhood were thoroughly enjoying themselves! I thought it would be great to share a few of these rare photos will all!
