According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) that released statistics on state-by-state existing-home sales and metropolitan area median home prices each quarter. The Atlanta Metro area, Sandy Springs and Marietta dropped 14.5% in the 3rd quarter this year for single family detached homes. The median price of a single-family home in the Atlanta metro area was $129,400 in the third quarter, compared with $151,300 in the third quarter of 2008. The median Atlanta home price in the metro area was $171,000 for 2006.
