After all the listing papers are signed, your agent will take interior and exterior photos for the Multiple Listing Service MLS! With signed listing agreements and camera in hand your agent sets off to enter your home into the MLS. This will not take too long, but special attention has to be paid to doing everything just right. Your agent will be careful to enter only the best possible descriptions, entering all the features of your home, the easiest directions to your home, and the best possible pictures. This is very important because the MLS is the best possible solution to sell your home through other participating members that are searching for their buyers. Nothing should be overlooked!
And nothing should be wrong! The closest anyone can get to see your home will be in the MLS. If it was entered wrong, no one will ever find your home. If the directions are wrong...buyers will not come. If the wrong choice of words are used, no one will be interesting in seeing your "Quaint...Cozy, Nice but needs some TLC home!" Once entered into the MLS system, you should be immediately emailed the MLS public view to review for errors. This is very important! MLS errors have a way of working against you big time! A very experienced agent can assist you in doing it right the first time, not after 6 months! It is very important when selling a home for you to choose the right agent with experience!
